Finch is a one-of-a-kind financial product and mobile app that combines the flexibility of a checking account with the benefits of an investing account. It puts the customer’s money to work by automatically investing one’s entire checking balance into a diversified portfolio of Exchange Traded Funds, offering liquidity, simplicity, and the opportunity to increase wealth by up to 50% every 10 years.
As a Financial Technology startup, Finch needed to establish itself as a brand from the ground up. They started by securing a name and identifying customer personas, then brought on eDesign to give a “face” to the Finch brand. Our team got to work right away, developing a logo, brand guidelines, and a robust online landing page all within an uber-tight timeline of 4 months.
We set out to create a logo that connected with the inspiration behind the Finch name—a bird in the Galapagos Islands known for having a distinctive, evolutionary beak. The eDesign team landed on a logo that incorporated bird features in a subtle yet striking way, ensuring it would work in both standard and standalone app environments. We then moved on to developing brand guidelines, which served as a starting point for the aesthetic of the websites and slanding pages. At the center of this robust page is a 3D animation that clearly tells the story of the two sides of the Finch experience, along with smart UX design, an abundance of motion, an interactive calculator, a WordPress-powered blog, and more.'
Though the site only recently launched, the client noted positive feedback from internal stakeholders, customers, and investors alike—along with early signs of increased engagement on the site.
