How we built a dynamic website to drive confidence in America’s first commercial ZEV charging network.

How we built a dynamic website to drive confidence in America’s first commercial ZEV charging network.
Website redesign. Tight deadline. A phased development approach. Cutting-edge technology and mission to showcase. Confidence and excitement to inspire. Flawless web animations.
Greenlane, one of the first U.S. companies to pioneer a charging network for commercial zero-emission vehicles (ZEV), embodies innovation on wheels. Backed by industry leaders Daimler Truck North America, NextEra Energy, and BlackRock, Greenlane's mission to revolutionize freight transportation for a cleaner future required a digital.
Presence as bold as their goals. Bringing Greenlane’s vision to life was no ordinary task. The company’s existing website needed a dramatic overhaul—one that would reflect the team’s ambition, exude modernity, and, most importantly, inspire confidence in its position as an industry trailblazer.
Greenlane was racing against the clock to meet critical business milestones, including the launch of its first charging station early in 2025. They needed a functional, visually captivating website yesterday. Our task? Build an elegant site that showcases their cutting-edge technology admission, all while fitting into a very tight timeline.
We divided the project into three fast - paced phases. Phase One: We delivered a polished Minimum Viable Product (MVP) site in under five weeks—a feat requiring Herculean coordination across design, content creation, and back-end development. This MVP showcased Greenlane’s core pages—Home, Solutions, News, and Contact—combining impactful messaging with dynamic visuals to create an engaging user experience.
Phase Two: Synced with the grand opening of Greenlane’s
Flagship charging station in Colton, California, we expanded the site with additional pages and templates. By designing reusable elements, we empowered Greenlane’s marketing team to scale their content effortlessly without reliance on developers.
Phase Three: We launched a robust, full-featured website with essential sections like About, Customer Support, and API integration for real-time charging site availability. As Greenlane’s audience grows, its platform is primed to evolve alongside it.
Creating this site wasn’t without its hurdles. Effective communication required extra effort, deadlines were tight, and the scope evolved rapidly. But we embraced the challenge with strategy and structure, prioritizing what Greenlane needed most at every step.
Launching in phases wasn’t the most convenient workflow for our team—it required extra testing and iteration—but it was the right choice for our client. Together, we executed three separate launches, ensuring the website evolves at the same pace as Greenlane's brand.
We developed clear, engaging copy to replace the jargon-heavy content of the old site, driving deeper user engagement and capturing leads into Salesforce. We integrated robust location tools, lively animations, and eye-catching design elements, leaving no detail overlooked. Many design features—such as image masks and animated transitions—draw inspiration from the Greenlane logomark, a subtle nod to the semi-trucks central to their customers’ fleets. Flawless transitions guide user interactions and create a fluid experience. The new layout is intuitive and engaging, ensuring visitors understand Greenlane’s offerings within moments of landing on the site.
The result? A site that reflects the innovative spirit of Greenlane—bold, sleek, and brimming with energy. Navigating the pages, visitors build trust and excitement for the low-carbon future Greenlane is shaping.
Our agile approach allowed us to keep pace with Greenlane’s rapid growth. The webspace we created served as a launchpad for the company as it transitioned from investment to execution. Through beautiful design, razor-sharp strategy, and a commitment to meeting their needs, we’ve helped Greenlane drive its message forward, one phase at a time. And just like their charging stations, this is only the beginning.
