With a career that reads like a masterclass in storytelling, branding, and marketing strategy, B.C. brings a unique perspective that aligns with eDesign’s mission to deliver bold, innovative solutions.
B.C. began his career as a journalist, honing his skills as a film critic and cultural commentator while attending Baruch College. During this time, B.C. sharpened his pen and developed an eye for narratives that resonate. This passion for storytelling paved the way for his first role as a lead content writer for a jewelry company. There, he discovered the transformative power of branding, crafting a men’s jewelry sub-brand with a refreshingly simple, humorous voice: “It’s a bracelet. You put it on your wrist.” From those straightforward words, B.C. learned that sometimes the boldest move is to embrace simplicity.
This knack for cutting through the noise caught the attention of a branding agency in Monroe, NY, where B.C. spent three years as a copywriter and brand strategist. During his time at the agency, he launched over a dozen brands, guiding them through every phase of development. “Learning as I’m doing has been my mantra,” he says. It’s this fearless embrace of the unknown that has driven his growth—and his results.
As a freelancer, B.C. has collaborated with agencies and brands in Europe and the US, helping campaigns be seen and heard and creating vibrant radio, TV, and outdoor advertising.
His philosophy? Everything starts with truth. “Branding is like building a house,” he explains. “The foundation—the brand’s core values and promises—has to be solid. But once that’s in place, that’s when the real creativity begins.” Whether it’s brainstorming “no bad ideas” sessions or pushing a concept to its limits and then pulling it back just enough, B.C. thrives on exploring the unexplored.
In his downtime, B.C. is known as “the movie guy,” an aficionado who’s penned over 75 film reviews and continues to write about cinema. He even runs a movie night group—currently embarking on a journey “Around the World in 80 Movies.” When not diving into film, you’ll find him immersed in board games and tabletop RPGs, drawn to the intricate rules and strategic thinking that mirror his approach to branding.
B.C. has been contributing his expertise to eDesign on a project basis since June 2023, and has clearly left his mark. As Creative Brand Strategist, B.C. will amplify our storytelling and strategic prowess, bridging the gap between innovative designs and actionable solutions. “I’m here to help push past the standard asks and deliver something truly extraordinary,” he says.
